Before you post it
- Sign out of PlayStation Network and turn off Console Sharing and Offline Play (the "primary PS5" setting).
- Factory reset it: Settings → System → System Software → Reset Options → Reset Your Console.
- Include the controller, cables and box if you have them — they add to the price.
- Pack it in the original box, or a sturdy box with plenty of padding on every side.

Do I need the original box?
No — we buy consoles without a box. Having the box, cables and controller adds to the price, and the questions ask what you've got. Without the box, pack it in a sturdy box with plenty of padding on every side.
What do I do about my PlayStation or Xbox account?
Sign out and remove the console from your account, then factory reset it, before you post it. We can't buy a console that's still locked to someone's account — the "Before you post it" checklist on our PS5 and Xbox pages walks through it.
Is mine an Original, a Slim or a Pro?
Check the model number on the label on the back or underneath: CFI-1xxx is the Original, CFI-2xxx is the Slim and CFI-7xxx is the Pro. The checker on our PS5 page does it for you.
How up to date is the price?
