Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

1. Who we are

TahTech Ltd ("TahTech", "we", "us", "our") is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16864356), with its registered office at 148 High Street, Swindon, SN4 7AB, United Kingdom. Our VAT number is GB511824516. You can reach us at info@tahtech.co.uk.

2. What these terms cover

These terms apply when you sell a pre-owned device to us through this website. They form the agreement between you and TahTech for that sale. Please read them before accepting an offer.

They do not cover our legacy TahTech Flow V1 monitor sales — if you bought a Flow V1 from us, your returns, shipping and warranty terms apply instead.

3. Your quote is an estimate, not a binding offer

The price we show you online is an estimate based on the information you give us about your device. It is not a guaranteed or binding offer. The final amount is confirmed only after we receive and inspect your device (see section 6). If your device matches what you told us, the confirmed offer will match the estimate.

4. Your promises about the device

By accepting an offer, you confirm that:

  • you own the device outright and have the legal right to sell it;
  • it is not subject to any outstanding finance, loan or credit agreement;
  • it has not been reported lost or stolen, and is not the subject of an insurance claim;
  • it is not locked to another account and is free of any activation lock, MDM enrolment, or carrier or network lock that you have not disclosed (for example iCloud, Google/FRP, or a device-management profile).

If any of these turns out not to be true, we may decline the purchase, and we will return the device or take the steps described in section 8.

5. Preparing your device

Before you send or hand over your device, you must:

  • back up anything you want to keep;
  • sign out of and remove all accounts and locks (iCloud/Find My, Google, MDM/work profiles, carrier locks);
  • perform a factory reset and erase your personal data.

We securely wipe every device we buy as part of our process. However, you are responsible for removing your own data and accounts beforehand, and we are not liable for any personal data left on a device you send us.

6. Inspection and revised offers

When your device reaches us we inspect it and verify its condition, specification and working order. If it matches your description, we confirm the offer and pay you (section 7).

If the device differs from what you told us — a different model or storage size, undisclosed damage, a fault, or a lock we could not clear — we may make a revised offer. You can then:

  • accept the revised offer, and we pay you; or
  • decline it, and we return your device to you. If you decline a revised offer, you agree to cover the cost of return postage.

7. Payment

We pay by bank transfer to the UK account you provide. To arrange payment we only ever store the last 4 digits of your account number and the last 2 digits of your sort code — never your full bank details. We aim to pay promptly once inspection is complete and the offer is accepted.

Ownership of, and risk in, the device passes to us when we have paid you the confirmed or revised offer amount.

8. Identity, serial numbers and stolen-goods checks

To meet our legal obligations and to protect against fraud and the handling of stolen goods, we record the serial number or IMEI of each device and may check it against recognised loss/theft databases. If we reasonably believe a device has been lost, stolen, or is otherwise not yours to sell, we may refuse to buy it, retain it, and report the matter to the relevant authorities. We may also ask you to verify your identity.

9. Sending your device by post

Where a postal option is offered, your device remains at your risk while in transit until we receive and book it in. We recommend using a tracked, insured postage service and packing your device securely. Follow any packaging and labelling instructions we provide.

10. Cancelling

You can withdraw from a sale at any time before we pay you. If you have already sent your device, we will return it to you once you ask us to cancel; return postage is handled as in section 6.

11. Our liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in connection with a sale is limited to the amount we have paid or agreed to pay you for the device. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

12. Your personal data

How we handle your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your sale is the one published when you accept your offer. Changes are posted on this page with an updated revision date.
