About these prices
How do you work out these prices?
Every night we look at what each model has actually sold for on eBay over the last 60 days, take off the costs of selling it on, and set our offer from that. For a few consoles we set the price ourselves and review it regularly. The table on this page is the same set of prices the instant quote uses.
Why do the prices change?
Because the second-hand market does. When a console starts selling for more, our offer goes up the next morning, and when it sells for less, it comes down. Once you get a quote, that price is held for 14 days whatever the market does.
Do the box and controller make a difference?
Yes. The prices in the table are for the console itself. Including the box, cables and a controller adds £15, and cables and a controller without the box adds £5 — the questions ask what you've got.
What do the grades mean?
Like new means no marks at all. Light wear means light marks or scuffs you'd only notice up close. Worn means noticeable dents or scuffs. Heavily worn means heavy damage, cracks or missing parts — it still has to work. You choose the grade in the questions and we check it when the console arrives.
Is the price guaranteed?
It's confirmed when we inspect the console. If it matches what you told us, you get the price you were quoted. If it doesn't, we explain why and offer a revised price, and you can say no and have it sent back.
